One of my (Laynie's) very favorite styles of photography is what we in the biz call "lifestyle photography."
Which is really just another name for documentary photography. Capturing people and situations in their element, looking for light and moments. I have people pose very little during this type of shoot.
So this is right up my alley- I walk away feeling refreshed and so happy. Especially when I work with a family as gorgeous as this one.
Jess wanted to surprise her husband Joel with some photos for their anniversary (5 years-wait, or is it 6?- either way-they are going strong.) We have learned a lot about marriage and family from long chats with these two wise souls.
Here's a sneak peak of the shoot.
And, you'll have to forgive me for the bazallion photos on this blog-I just love this family so much.
And some more of this wee one...
Cheeks.
Jess is always asking me to come over and hang out with her (& Co.) and I never take her up on it enough.
Spending time with this endearing family is always a breath of fresh air.
Look at this beauty.
I love this girl. Her sweet spirit ever inspires me to be kinder to everyone around me.
Love you guys!
xo.
