It’s time for another Artist Spotlight, and for December we are featuring Rachel, Melissa and Megan from The Soul Workshop. If you are looking for a fun and creative gift idea for a friend or family member, be sure to check this out. What a wonderful idea these soul sisters are putting into motion.
So…about The Soul Workshop:
We are Rachel, Melissa and Megan, soul sisters and co-founders of The Soul Workshop. We met at Brock University in St. Catharines years ago, and today, we're young professionals (YoPros) who are building a company which aims to help us and others live healthier, happier and more soulfully.
The Soul Workshop is a social enterprise that combines yoga and art (DIY, upcycling, growing-your-own and other creative pursuits) to expand creative ability, nurture the soul and, ultimately, boost overall health.
We believe that art is a catalyst for positive change and this world would be a lot better if everyone lived even just a little more yogi-like. We offer yoga and art workshops and work with soulful artisans to outfit you with tools to support your journey to wellness.
Health, community and creativity are the core of The Soul Workshop:
Health - living healthy lifestyles; mind, body, soul wellness; healthy environments through upcycling, growing-your-own and appreciating our earth.
Community - supporting others; socially consciousness, understanding of how we can impact our society.
Creativity - utilizing our creative within all aspects of being; making stuff, art, and innovation makes us original and expands our self-confidence.
We’ve been bopping around artisan markets in Niagara, spreading The Soul Workshop love. We sprinkle in yoga and art as we go, teaching what we are all about. This fall, we’ll host after-school programs and will kick-off our workshop series for women. You might also spot us again at a market or two.
Do you need more soul-care in your life? Custom workshops are available for people of all ages. We will come to you for any occasion, whether it’s your child’s birthday party, a girls night in or bachelorette party.
