I always try to celebrate my Anne-iverary, but definitely dropped the ball on giving a shout out to our 6-year which happened earlier this month. She's the best, and I love her with all my heart.
In honour of the lovely memories we have, I thought I'd blog up one of my favourite Anne-girl trips. It was right at 5 years ago when we bopped around Ireland together with her sister Julie and our "friend" Jonathan, making the memories of a lifetime along the way.
We literally drove around the country in the space of a week, something maybe exactly like this:
Now, Papa Fred (Anne and Julie's dad) might have hinted that this idea was a little crazy...and it retrospect it was So True...but it was one of the beautifulest crazy things I've ever done. Though I think we'll all agree the tuna fish casserole sandwiches we ate along the way were an all-time low point...not just for Ireland, but for life.
I have also never eaten to many fries and cheesy fries. Pure glory- no regrets about that.
So here are some snaps from that blessed, rainy week. Anne, Julie, (significant others and babies) I so wish Jono and I could all go back with you and reminisce together in person. And maybe we can make our island tour 2 weeks this time around?!.
Let us know if next June works for you.
{Some of these photos at the end are from Annie.}
Now, if you're thinking this trip involved an excessive amount of jumping and selfies-and even more questionable Laynie outfit choices, then you are 100% correct.
And what's not to love about that? Like I said, it was a great trip.
So here's to Ireland, adventures and lifelong friendships.
More on all the above coming soon.
