Happy Tuesday everyone!!
I was born and raised in Brantford, which for those of you who know Brantford it's not the most ideal town for a photographer. (I mean don't get me wrong it does has some nice features)! I don't personally own a studio so for me all of my shoots are done on location. When I was younger that location was always my back yard since I didn't have any means of transportation.
Now that I am a totally independent woman (or I like to think so anyways) with my very own car I have explored Brantford and all that it has to offer! I have two locations that stand out to me, and are my go to locations when all else fails! The Mt. Pleasant ponds, they are very secluded and they have a lot to offer. From beautiful forested areas, to bridges, ponds, creeks, and fields.
Here is a photo that I took at the Mt. Pleasant ponds.
My other favourite location to use is the rail trail running by the Grand River. There is a specific spot where the trees have overgrown and fall over the pathway. In the fall it is especially pretty with all the orange surrounding you.
Here is a photo that I have taken on the rail trail.
Both of those locations offer wonderful lighting, and an array of different options for back drops. Even when I'm off shooting in New York City (dreaming big here) I will never forget these two very beautiful locations!
Sincerely, your summer intern,
Steph! :)
