Hi friends,
Greetings from March 6. Did any of you attempt to leave your phone in the other room for long spells this weekend?
I did and it was so magical I think I'll do it again...for the rest of our lives.
You can probably find me at my office working or writing on my bed-if you approach slowly and bring me a coffee, I shall talk to you.
We wanted to give you a little Grimey update on this grey Monday.
It seems there is usually something exciting happening over in our corner of the world and this season is no exception.
On the photo work front, we're keeping busy with shoots, editing, and client consultations. We are already booking out in 2018 and we recently became a preferred photographer for Pearle Hospitality (they own the Ancaster Mill, Cambridge Mill, Spencer's on the Waterfront). We are stoked to partner with such an outstanding organization!
On a less exciting note, due to many things outside our control, we will be moving from our studio at the end of June. So we've spent a lot of time looking at options of places to rent (or ideally buy, but that's a bit of a pipe dream) starting mid-summer.
Jonathan is also in the beginning stages of filming a documentary. Much more on this coming!
On the personal front, Layne is writing her heart out this winter and she and Lindsay will be submitting their first book any day now, but the waiting period for hearing back from agents is generally weeks. We'll keep you posted. Jonathan is playing badminton as often as he can, and we are in the middle of house projects, planning our garden (see last week's blog), our home study for our adoption (insert all the heart faces here). Also, drum roll please, Laynie got accepted into grad school.
So starting in September, it may take more than a coffee to get a date with her. Don't worry, she'll eventually come back to us all.
Whew, like we said, exciting times!
Thanks for following our journey. We couldn't do what we do without you.
xo.
