(Because Saturdays are for Gardening.)
Here is a little update on how our garden experiment is going: things are growing, which I count as success.
So far we've planted beans, peas, red onions, green onions (so many onions from someone who loathed onions for the first two decades of her life), tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, carrots, spinach, kale, and potatoes.
We inspect our little experiment every single day and are happy for every sign of growth. So far the biggest issue has been The Animal Problem.
i.e. We planted kale and it was thriving one day and the next day we came out to discover all the kale leaves were gone, eaten by some fiend. We left the stalks, hoping they'd re-grow and indeed, within a few days, more leaves began to appear. They were all eaten, stems and all, within a few days.
*Sigh.*
Anyway, we are happy and hopeful all things considered.
We'll be in the garden relaxing after our Saturday wedding for most of tomorrow.
