Hi friends!
As we enter the weekend, it seems like an appropriate time to take a little look back at our time with our family (both blood family with whom we spent Christmas) and our friend family (with whom we spent the turning of the new year.)
First - we were only in Kentucky a handful of days, and *almost* got enough time with our family. We barely took any photos, but here is a sampling of what we did manage to snap.
And don't you worry - we didn't forget about our (now traditional) "night before Christmas" mischief at Layne's Dad's house - we took a few moments to switch out all the Snoopies for Santas and Santas for Snoopies. You're welcome.
Okay, wait, I guess it would have been funnier if you were there, but you'll get the idea.
AND, for the second year (we missed last year because we had family in town), we rented a cabin with our friends for New Year's Eve. We were a little pooped from our travels and stressed from coming home from Christmas to a frozen house (a long story which we'll not use space here sharing) so we were excited to chill beside a fireplace for a few days.
We ate delicious food, did yoga, sat in the hot tub, played games, talked, drank, read, and danced for hours on end. It's one of our favourite traditions.
Again, we didn't take many photos, but you'll get the idea.
So here's to hoping your weekend is full of family, friends, and fun. We know ours will be.
x.
