As you may or may not know, our business is as old as our marriage-we are staring right into the eyeballs of our 4.5 year mark.
And in many ways, our photo business parallels our business. We were blissfully ignorant when we started and have learned much at every turn.
We spent the first few years of our business working out of our 1-bedroom apartment (or coffee shops on days when we needed to splurge.) For the first two years, we didn't even have internet at our apartment (21st century-do we live in you?) and made frequent trips over to the library to upload photo contracts or reply to emails.
Through the years, our couples have had both consultations and photo shoots with us at our apartment.
I was recently reminiscing with one of our very first clients-turned-friend, Don. He, Jen and their two tiny daughters met us for their first shoot in the basement of Jon's parents' church. Yes, read through that sentence again-a church basement.
Here's that shoot; it was just a couple of weeks after we'd been married. I think we've come a long way, people.
It wasn't even that long ago that we did Don's headshots in Jon's parent's living room when we were house sitting for them. Yep, headshots in a living room. Now that's loyalty.
And THEN, we recently got to take some photos of their latest little love, baby C, right here in our new studio.
Don and Jen have stuck with us through the years and the miles; it means so much.
And those memories make the fact we now go to work in our own space, even more special. We have an office and a photography studio space that we share with our friend Photohouse Studio.
Our little photo studio, located on one of the busiest streets in Brantford, is such a happy space for us.
We are available for headshots, small family shoots and consultations at 58 Brant Ave.
I also love shooting boudoir in our new studio; that window light is perfection.
Thanks again for sticking with us through the journey, for your referrals, your loyalty and your belief in us. We wouldn't be here without you. Capturing your story continues to be an honour.
