Hulllloooo, peeps.
I should really be saving this for a #tbt but since it's already taken me almost two months to make this posting, I'm just going for it.
Once upon a recent birthday, my mum and sister spoiled me with a ton of new clothes-like 6 new dresses and leggings (thank you, sister) and shorts, a couple of shirts, a new sweater and new flats (thank you, mum.)
It was amazingggggg.
And they haven't even gotten to see me in any of it, so here goes.....
This one is my favorite:
And this one is my Other Very Favorite. (Also, masses-stop judging me just because I haven't showered and have hairy leg stubble in these photos, okay?) #selfemployed #idowhatiwant
And my other favorite-wrinkles due to the fact 1. I don't own an iron (Nanny, I'M SORRY) and 2. I left all these beautiful dresses stuffed in a bag until I made this blog. I kept it near me as my motivation.
It's pretty cold here right now for these beauties though...guess it's a Good thing we are going to the Dominican next week for two weddings.
Cute dresses + fancy dinners, here I come.
Oh! And my mum gave me this sweater too....
I don't know about your childhood, but I wore a lot of hand-me-downs and was out of style until I was...ahem, about 23. (...now, was this due to the nature of the clothes I was given or my personal sense of style? When I was younger I went on a "red turtle neck + jeans + every day of my life" kick for months. And university waved me through wearing overalls no less than 4x a week for all 4 years. I wish, oh how I wish I were exaggerating.)
My PSOS (Personal Sense of Style) has always been a strong one.
But like I said, I've been pretty trendy ever since my early 20s. Very Trendy. Like look out world. ...........well, okay, I've maybe had some questionable days since then. But only one or two.
I
digress.
When I was a teenager, I used to dream about having enough money to go on a crazy shopping spree and just buy cute clothes. But really, I'm super happy with hand-me-downs now, even as an adult. (Thank you AEHA for all your many generous donations-I wore your sweater and shirt twice this week with pride.)
SO, I am overly grateful for all these new clothes-my closets are bursting. Thank you, thank you, thank you Mama and Catherine for your crazy, sweet, generous gifts. They mean so much and I will wear them all much a joyous heart.
