Today, as I crunched through the snow, homeward bound from my Starbucks shift, I felt the profoundest sense of peace and joy. I lingered in the cold for a few extra blocks, praying and listening to Coldplay, Over the Rhine and Alexi Murdoch. The sun was all soft and perfect. It was snowing just enough to make everything feel a bit magical but not enough to make it miserable-so much felt right in the world.
Besides, I knew Jonathan + a crockpot of chilli were waiting for me in our wee apartment.
Even when I passed a house we'd been trying to buy for months and noted the "SOLD" sign glaring at me, I couldn't shake the happiness.
I am so grateful for this season to dream, to spend time with friends, to get caught up on our work-and clean a few closets too.
Hope your weekend has been full of inspiration and hope and that your week will be even better.
Until tomorrow.
xo.
