I used to write out a “I’m thankful for” list every time I felt grumpy or out of sorts. While I do this far less than I probably should, we try to live awareness of our gratefulness here at our house. (And we think maybe it’s working because K is constantly saying “thank you, Mummy” when we hand him anything.)
Today we’re cooking some ham, potatoes and pie and sharing a meal as a family. We’ll talk about the year, about all we have to be thankful for. Which, for the record, is a lot.
But the short version is thus:
family
friends
our health
our home
grace
our work
(Like we said - the short version.)
But whatever the day or conversation ends up looking like, we’re saying it here and out into the universe: THANKS.
