I have been thinking about what I'd say in this space for a long time-ever since Amy and Tim invited us to share their special day.
Amy and Tim were like so many couples we work with-ridiculously in love, kind and full of plans for a fabulously creative wedding.
What set them apart for me though is that (cousins aside) Amy is-literally-my oldest friend. We don't know the exact day or hour, but I knew her within my first few months of existence. I was born in November and she was born in the following April-so sometime directly after that.
You get the idea.
Amy and I (and Catherine) share a thousand memories from our early years-from slumber parties, to school days, from girl scout outings to church outings. We saw each other practically every day, schemed how we could stay together for hours after our parents were trying to pry us apart.
It was amazing to correspond with Amy as she fell in love with Tim through the months they were dating and more amazing still to see them together in person.
We were incredibly honored to share in their super creative wedding day and it was so special to see so many of Amy's family members whom I hadn't seen since my childhood. Let's just say that there were lots of hugs!
Amy and Tim-we are so Happy for you both. Congrats! May your love grow richer and deeper with each coming year.
xo.
