Our Year-in-Review blog is ever one of my favourite spaces. Such a sweet place to remember and stay grateful for this thing called our life.
In so many ways, it feels unreal that another year has passed; we remember January 2014 like it was yesterday.
Yet so much has happened this year, both personally and professionally so let's remember together.
First and foremost a fatty thank you to our clients (friends!) who made this year for Jono & Laynie Co. so memorable and fun.
We shot 26 weddings this year, too many videos to count, a couple dozen rolls of film and many things in between.
It's been real and fun; also real fun.
A HUGE THANK YOU to our hottie and wonderful interns with whom it was so fun to work and create. Maddy and Hannah-y'all rock.
We had some beautiful adventures with each other and also with our oh-so-amazing friends. From road trips to wine tours (Sarahhhh), to visits with new babies in Texas, we made so many sweet memories this year.
We also got to be with some friends on life-changing days-like when we got to be in Sarah and Sam's wedding out in Montana in August.
We also got to spend most of the year with our sweet and wonderful PhotogenX Track family (Idun, Cat, Beth, Eric-we love you and are incredibly honoured to walk with you!) From Tuesday night dinners to hours of photo teaching, time with you is a gift.
We love you so much and are happy that 2 of the 6 countries we got to visit this year were with YOU.
So yeah...we travelled a bit this year-we had weddings in the Domincan, Finland, Idaho, Colorado and Florida. I got to teach in Hawaii and we went to Amsterdam simply because we were in the neighbourhood. Our trip to Israel and Jordan at the end of the year with the Track was the proverbial icing on the cake, the cherry on the top of our year.
OH, right, and we bought a house. That was pretty exciting.
Believe it or not, this was the short version of what made our year so bright and shiny. We didn't put in nearly enough of the faces of those we love or the things for which we are so grateful.
But this is a pretty great start and we'll leave it at that.
Let us know what you loved about your year in the comment section.
xo.
