God's Perfect Timing
Josh was told by his close friends there was this cute girl he should meet, he thought nothing of it. - Spring 2013
I was skyping my best friend and she said I met your future husband! I laughed and thought she was funny and she told me nothing more. - Summer 2013
At that time we were both loving the single life and not in need of anything more! After many attempts of friends trying to get us to meet, January 2014, our close friends had a games night and, of course, we were the only singles there! He was impressed that I knew how to install outdoor wood boilers and could converse with the guys about their hot water heaters. I loved that he was a handy man and knew way more than me on how to fix and make things. From that day on we talked every single day, the next few weekends going to dinner and playing pool with friends, then going skating on the canal and soon after a ski trip together. It's like we had been best friends for years. He spent the summer helping my parents build their house and got along with my family perfectly and they loved him!
Thanksgiving weekend we went up north to New Liskeard to spend thanksgiving weekend with Josh's family! Right before dinner we went fishing by his beautiful island (our favourite place in the world). Josh proposed by having his close friend write "Katie Will You Marry Me" on a giant rock wall and knelt down in the bottom of his fishing boat! Hilarious moment, I didn't even see the giant rock wall until after he proposed even though our boat was RIGHT in front of it! When we came back his sister screamed in excitement saying it feels like I've been around forever and that she is so excited!
We have both felt so accepted and welcomed into each others families, are thankful for persistent friends, and amazed at Gods perfect timing! And we can't wait to start our lives together as Mr. And Mrs. Kacur! :D
Quirky Facts:
1) We both love the number 7. Our birthdays are the 7th and 27th, we started dating on the 17th and will be getting married the 07/17/2015. Maybe we'll have 7 kids! ;)
2) We both grew up at camps, his family managed a fishing camp and mine managed a kids camp! Which means we both know how to clean up after people well! Haha
3) We both went to Queens University except I graduated Teachers College in May of 2012 and he started Civil Engineering September 2012! So we missed each other by 4 months!
